Asperbras has integrates projects in MS

Asperbras, a company that acts in various areas which include industrial project management, constructions and incorporated real estate and agribusiness, is now concentrated in a project of eucalyptus production to supply the future MDF factory (blocks of medium density wood fiber).

In accordance to ASPERBRAS, the beginning of activities in the MDF factory, to be installed in Água Clara, Mato Grosso do Sul, is predicted for 2017. The unit, in the future, should supply 100% for the planted eucalyptus in the company, what should be happening in 2019. Before that, part of the raw materials will be acquired in the market.

Initially, the predicted production of MDF is of 220,000 cubic meters per year. But, there is space for a second line of production in the future, which would produce 460,000 cubic meters per year, as it is previewed.

Duratex and Eucatex lead the Brazilian market in the wood panels. ASPERBRAS, says that the eucalyptus surged with the alternative cattle methods in the company’s farms, their main agribusiness activity. In this mean, Asperbras acts in the raising, reproduction, feeding and selling of the animal in Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul farms. In São Paulo, the company also maintains sugar cane production in the region of Penápolis.

The business is run by Asperbras Technological Industry, which is controlled by Asperbras Brazil S.A, the institute responsible for the Asperbras business in Brazil. Controlled by the stock holders, José Roberto Colnaghi and Francisco Carlos Colnaghi, the company still has, among other business, one lactic complex in Itapagipe (MG), factories of pipes and connectors, Volkswagen car dealers of buses and trucks in Angola and in the on-going constructions in Angola and Congo. The company started with the fabrication of equipment for irrigation and expanded its activities to a variety of other sectors, it does not reveal information of its profits. But it affirms that there are 3.500 workers in Brazil and in the international structure, directed towards Africa.

The factory of MDF to be installed in Mato Grosso do Sul State as the place is close to the eucalyptus project after the conduction of viable studies.

The plantation of eucalyptus was initiated last year. The first cut is previewed for six to seven years after the cultivation. The idea is that the company has about 12 thousand hectares planted with the cash crops until the end of 2015. Until the end of the year, there should be 7 thousand hectares cultivated. For the cultivation of 12 thousand hectares is it estimated in total a need for 17 thousand hectares. The investments in the cultivation of forests are of R$ 75 millions and, in the factory project of MDF, R$ 300 millions.

Some farms acquired by Asperbras in 2013 and some this year in Mato Grosso do Sul have gained about 8 thousand hectares to perform cattle transfer and reforestation practices. Água Clara is strategically located, says the company’s CEO, for being close to the wood consumer markets.
